'We’re all there to be the best we can be': Milner opens up about his argument with Van Dijk in Man United defeat

James Milner was asked about his argument with Virgil van Dijk in Liverpool's 2-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford this season.

Jadon Sancho scored a goal which sent Milner sliding in ahead of him but Van Dijk was unable to step forward to close him down with led Milner having some stern words for Van Dijk.

"It’s football, we’re all there to be the best we can be," said Milner. "I want Virg, Hendo, Harvey, Alisson or whoever to pull me because we’re all there to achieve the same goal.

"We all get on though. You see a relationship like Luis and Curtis and they don’t even speak the same language, the jokes they’re having, how does it even work. Even if he spoke great English he’s not understanding Curtis!”
