The January transfer window has opened on January 1, New Year’s day. Liverpool can now sign and register new players for the entirety of this month. With that being said, let’s look at the Liverpool transfer round-up.
Potential arrivals
Moises Caicedo: Liverpool reportedly want to sign a new midfielder after Cody Gakpo in the winter window. Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is high on their wish list and they are reportedly pushing to sign him, even though he could reportedly cost over £70m.
Sofyan Amrabat: Another player high up on Liverpool’s midfield wishlist is Sofyan Amrabat. The Reds were impressed with his heroics at the World Cup and eyeing a move for him. He could cost them over €30m.
Hirving Lozano: As per Italian media, Liverpool are also in the running to sign Napoli winger Hirving Lozano. He will probably cost them over £35m after scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists in 14 appearances for the Serie A club this season.
Ismael Bennacer: Another midfeld target for the Reds is AC Milan’s hard-working Ismael Bennacer. With his contract expiring next year, Liverpool could look to sign him soon.
James Maddison: The Reds have also been linked to a wild move for Leicester City midfielder James maddison. However, he can cost them over £50m with his side not eager to sell.
Youssoufa Moukoko: Liverpool are among multiple Premier League sides vying for the signing of the Borussia Dortmund wonderkid. He could be available for an economical deal in January if he keeps rejecting Dortmund’s contract offers.
Potential departures
Nat Phillips: With his role reduced at Liverpool, Nat Phillips could be allowed to leave Liverpool in January if any club comes up with a solid enough offer for him.
Naby Keita: AC Milan are reportedly interested in making a move for Keita, whose contract with Liverpool expires in June. The Reds are yet to make up their mind on what to do with him.
Roberto Firmino: Firmino is being eyed by Al Nassr, the club that signed Cristiano Ronaldo. However, Liverpool want him to stay and are deep in contract talks with the forward.
Adrian: Having seen himself reduced to third-choice at Liverpool, Adrian is reportedly going to push for an exit in January and look to join a club where he’s guaranteed to get regular game-time.
