Firmino, Jota and 3 more: Expected return date of injured Liverpool players

Injuries have dealt Liverpool a cruel blow this season with some important players currently lying on the treatment table.

Here is the expected return date of the injured senior players at Liverpool right now.

Roberto Firmino

The Brazilian picked up a muscle injury in training before the World Cup. Apparently, the injury was more serious than initially thought. A setback in December pushed his recovery date by another two months. He's expected to make a return in February.

Virgil Van Dijk

The big defender suffered a hamstring injury in the game against Brentford and hasn't been seen since. The good news is that Van Dijk will almost certainly return in February. Some reports claim he could be back for the Everton game on February 13th.

Diogo Jota

The Portuguese forward picked up a calf injury in the game against Manchester City and was ruled out for the World Cup. Reports suggest that Jota has been making positive progress and his return should be on February 21 before the Champions League game against Real Madrid.

"He looks really good, he’s out there on the pitch. He’s doing a lot of stuff already,” Jurgen Klopp said of Jota's recovery.

Arthur

The Brazilian suffered a thigh injury in training that ruled him out for three months now. He even had to undergo surgery and is recovering pretty well. Per Fabrizio Romano, Arthur is likely to return in early February.

Luis Diaz

The Colombian is gradually recovering from the knee injury he suffered in the game against Arsenal back in October. Diaz's return date is set for March at the earliest. He could spend more time on the treatment table if Liverpool does not rush him. That would mean he fully returns in late March or early April.
