How many games Darwin Nunez could miss with new injury

Darwin Nunez received a call to represent Uruguay later in March, but Liverpool released a statement claiming that the striker will not travel due to an injury he sustained this week. The club intends to treat him at Merseyside.

Apparently, the problem with Nunez has to do with a cut he sustained on his ankle during the game between Liverpool and Real Madrid on Wednesday.

According to the University of Vermont Health Network, ankle injuries such as was suffered by Nunez could keep someone sidelined for a month or more depending on how it heals.

Goal suggests Nunez could be back in three weeks at most. Thus, the player can use the international break as a recovery window.

However, Nunez is still likely to miss some important games for Liverpool. For example, the game against Manchester City on April 1st may come too soon for him. The game against Chelsea three days later is also a major doubt.

Injuries have slowed Liverpool this season with some of their best players spending considerable time on the sidelines. Notable examples are Virgil Van Dijk, Diogo Jota, Thiago and Luis Diaz.

Martin u crack me up, we need a medical refurbishment 😆 🤣 to deal with all these injuries. in all my years of been a Liverpool supporter I have never endured so many injury players even though they are more protected and allegedly been look after better they are as soft as spounge. 20 years ago the games were more physically aggressive and players never been getting injuries so often. please bring back the 70ies, 80ties,and 90ties generations 😆 🤣 😂 because these 2000 generations need some good cornmeal porridge to strong them up, MY GOD. I rest my case 😌 😆 🤣 😂

When I used to play, got cuts all time, shin pads were shit especially when a 20 stone ale house boozer took you out in the Sunday league. Always played the next Sunday and was doing it for fun not 200k a week.
