'They don't want to invest': Jose Enrique slams FSG after recent Bellingham rumours

The Athletic's David Ornstein recently reported that Man City or Real Madrid seems like the more likely destination for Jude Bellingham this summer.

In response to the reports former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has criticised the Liverpool ownership for their unwillingness to invest.

“They don’t want to invest – even if [it] is [for] one of the best numbers 8 in the world, at just 19 [years old],” Enrique wrote.

“Does this surprise me? Not at all.”

He then added: “From the start I knew he wasn’t coming.

“FSG spending 150m euros on a player without selling? Not a chance.”
