Alisson 7, Trent 2: rating Liverpool players in Man City defeat

Diogo Jota - 7.5/10

Best Liverpool player on the pitch in our books. Provided 2 key passes (one of them was a composed assist for Salah), looked great off the ball and was helpful defensively.

Mohamed Salah - 7/10

Can't blame him for all the efforts. Even the goal aside, Mo was one of the best player on the pitch for both sides today. It's not purely his fault he didn't get more to his name.

Alisson - 7/10

The Brazilian knows he should've done better while rushing out ahead of City's match winner. Still, Alisson registered lots of saves that could've been important if Liverpool had a better game.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 2/10

Trent's only positive came ahead of Mo Salah's opener when he found Jota with a timely long ball. The right-back's defensive positioning was terrible most of the time, and he is definitely to blame for at least three of the four goals conceded.

Andrew Robertson - 2/10

Terrible outing from the Scotsman who was poor both in defence and in support throughout the whole game.

Other players' ratings: Elliott 6.5, Gakpo 6.5, Fabinho 6, Konate 6, Van Dijk 5.5, Henderson 5.

Subs: Darwin 6, Firmino 6, Tsimikas 5.5, Ox 5.5, Milner N/A.
