Salah surpasses Michael Owen as he sets yet another Liverpool record

By scoring against Manchester City, Mohamed Salah has achieved yet another record for Liverpool in the Premier League. He is now Liverpool's top scorer in away games in the Premier League with a total of 56 goals. In the past, Michael Owen scored 55 away goals when at Liverpool.

This accomplishment follows his achievement in March when he became Liverpool's all-time leading scorer in the Premier League against Manchester United.

Since joining Liverpool, Salah has continually broken records, including scoring 32 goals in his first season, a feat no other player had accomplished in a 38-game season.

He has a total of 179 goals in all competitions for Liverpool, with his top scorer status in European competition surpassing Steven Gerrard. Despite Liverpool's difficulties this season, Salah's performance has been remarkable, with 13 goals and six assists for his teammates in the Premier League, and eight goals in the Champions League

Mo Salah reaches international milestone for Egypt

Mohamed Salah scored for Egypt in the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi on Friday night.

The goal saw the Egyptian tally 50 goals for his country in just 87 caps. The 30-year-old needs just 19 more goals to beat the record set by Hossam Hassan who played 176 matches for Egypt.

Salah captained Egypt against Malawi and scored the opener after just 20 minutes. He assisted the second goal in first half added time to help the Pharaohs secure a 2-0 win.

Salah and Egypt will face Malawi again on Tuesday before he heads back to continue the season with Liverpool.

This has been a topsy-turvy season for Salah with Liverpool struggling to maintain consistency. But Salah's goal tally reads differently. He currently has 22 goals and 11 assists in 39 games for the Reds.

We all love Mo Salah's goals for Liverpool — but what about what preceded them?

Back in 2014, the Egyptian joined Chelsea. However, first-team opportunities were scarce and in February 2015, he moved to Fiorentina on loan until the end of the season.

Nine goals in 26 matches for La Viola — these few months in Tuscany kickstarted Mo's career.

He went on to sign for AS Roma, first on loan and then on a permanent basis and establish himself as one of the best attackers in the world.

In June 2017, Salah signed for Liverpool and, as the saying goes, the rest is history. But it all started at Fiorentina.
