Liverpool academy forward Trent Kone-Doherty scored an emphatic goal in the young Reds' 4-2 victory against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The 17-year-old received the ball on the right edge of the box, drove inside and produced a lovely left-footed finish into the top corner, leaving the goalie with no chance of saving that.

Liverpool posted a video of the goal on social media and fans are already in love with the Irishman, not least because of his name which reminds of another Trent.

Cxzza: "Trent to Trent linkup in 2027"

YNWAAndrea: "A player named Trent with a hyphenated last name at Liverpool making impressions… where have we heard that before?"

Sonur Guds: "Another homegrown Trent oof it's written in the stars"

Malumbuzz: "ANOTHER Trent? Wallahi we are blessed"

LFC Approved: "Must be something about Trent’s with double-barrelled surnames"

Yeardarj: "A Trent with a double barrel name? He’s gonna be insane"

NaViShiba: "I like our new gimmick of producing a wonderkid called Trent with 2 last names every half decade I hope we continue this trent I mean trend"

Chapricious: "Explains why we dropped interest in the other lad, we’ve got Kone at home"

Masa: "What's Wolves and Gladbach players got to do with this?"

Who knows, maybe in a few years' time we'll have to specify which Trent we are talking about when we discuss Liverpool!
