Paris FC owner teases making possible move for Ibrahima Konate amid Jurgen Klopp involvement
The owner of Ligue 2 side Paris FC, Antoine Arnault, has opened up on Jurgen Klopp’s involvement with the club after Red Bull bought a minority stake in the club.
He stated: “Klopp is very excited about the project. We’ve already spent quite a bit of time with [Red Bull]. I’ve had several conversations with Klopp, and he’s very excited about the project and the prospect of working with the teams here.”
Arnault, whose dad Bernard is one of the richest men in the world, also teased the possibility of making a move for Ibrahima Konate next year. He stated: “The idea is to train young players. After that, if a former player trained at the club wants to return and become part of the club’s core structure, why not? It’s a possibility, but not the group’s main strategy.”
Paris FC was actually Konate’s first-ever club, as he trained there as child from 2009-2014. Despite that, the Frenchman has shown no real desire to re-join them anytime soon as he’s very happy at Liverpool.
Konate has become a pivotal part of the Liverpool squad this season, helping the Reds get six clean sheets from 11 Premier League matches so far this season.
