Egyptian journalist Haytham Farouk has posted a tweet saying the following:
"Congratulations on extending your contract to the desired number and duration. The Egyptian king rules according to his decrees."
Farouk also pinned a pic with Mohamed Salah to his post. Mo player follows the reporter on X; the player only follows 146 accounts which could mean the journalist may be reliable.
Mohamed Salah's current contract, expiring in 2025, makes him the highest-paid player in Liverpool's history. In 2022, he agreed to a three-year extension that sees him earn £350,000 per week.
Salah has 15 goals and 12 assists in 21 games for Liverpool this season.
