Liverpool 'open talks' to sign Omar Marmoush, transfer likely next summer
Liverpool have opened talks to sign Omar Marmoush, with reports suggesting the 25-year-old striker could join the club as early as the January transfer window.
However, David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that Marmoush is more likely to leave his current club, Eintracht Frankfurt, in the summer.
Marmoush, who has been in excellent form this season, has scored 17 goals and provided 9 assists across all competitions.
His performances for the Egyptian national team, where he plays alongside Mohamed Salah, have also been impressive.
Should Liverpool secure Salah’s long-term future with a new contract, the prospect of pairing him with Marmoush could be a tantalizing one.
Liverpool face competition for the striker, with Bayern Munich also reportedly interested.
