- Mirror reports that Jose Mourinho is still unhappy with his defensive duo
- Italian media claim that United have set their eyes on Joachim Andersen from Sampdoria
- It is believed that 4 United scouts were watching him against Torino
Even though it seems Mourinho has finally settled on a Lindelof - Smalling link in the central defensive line with €30 million Eric Bailly warming up the bench, rumours say United boss is still unhappy with his centre-back. The Mirror reports that United scouts are still wandering around Europe in search for a talented central defender. One of the options is Sampdoria's Joachim Andersen. It is believed that four United scouts were watching him play against Torino (his club lost 4-1).
Sampdoria chairman Massimo Ferrero is reportedly unwilling to listen to any offers below €30million for the 22-year old Dane, and United might have to wait until the summer if they remain persistent enough.
