Man United staff receive care packages from Ed Woodward upon returning to Premier League action

Manchester United have surprised the members of their staff with a special care package as the Premier League made its return to action this week.

The bag of goodies included things like a candy bar and an organiser along with a personal letter from vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

The message reads: "The last few months have been challenging for us all. From self-isolating to home-schooling to working from home - we've all had to adapt and change.

"But as a club we have risen to these challenges, uniting together to support our fans, our local communities and most importantly each other. This package is a small token to say thank you for everything you have done. Stay safe and see you all soon."

The Red Devils have opted against furloughing their staff while the Premier League was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

It's been suggested that Man United are 'under less financial pressure' amid the Covid-19 pandemic compared to other Premier League sides after generating a whopping £173 million from commercial income last year.
