Sheffield Utd's graduate Maguire looking to steal Champions League place from 'fantastic' former club
  • Man United host Sheffield Utd in the Premier League this week.
  • Maguire graduated from the Blades' academy and got his start at the club.
  • Still, the Englishman will not settle for anything other than a win on Wednesday.

Harry Maguire will put his respect and admiration of Sheffield United aside when the Blades travel to Manchester United in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Speaking to United Review about Wednesday's showdown, the skipper said: "It's a fantastic football club and one I'm really proud of because of how well they're doing at the moment.

"I'm really thankful for the opportunity they gave me to start my professional career, and the faith and trust they showed in me at a young age.

"I'm really happy with how they're doing and theirs is the first result I look for after a game with United. Hopefully, they can finish one place below us!"

Magure graduated from the Sheffield Utd academy, making his Premier League debut for the Blades in 2011 before joining Hull City in 2014.

Chris Wilder's side are currently competing with the Red Devils for a top-4 finish although their Champions League hopes were dented on Sunday following a 3-0 defeat at Newcastle.
