- Not many may remember this but Guiseppe Rossi spent three years at Manchester United between 2004 to 2007 - making 14 appearances and scoring just once.
- In 2006, Rossi started three League Cup games for the Red Devils and the club eventually won the trophy that year.
- However, the Italian was not included in any of our games in the latter stages of the competition and was also not on the podium to celebrate the win.
- As a result, Nemanja Vidic ended up giving his medal to the then 19-year-old. Rossi told the MEN: "Nemanja told me I deserved it more than him. I was shocked because I wasn't expecting that, but that's another story I won't forget from my United days."
- The striker went on to enjoy great success later in his career with Villarreal and Fiorentina. The 33-year-old currently plays for Real Salt Lake in the Major League Soccer.
