Solskjaer: 'I don't think we'll see Maguire in Gdansk'

Speaking to the media on Friday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "Harry Maguire is walking [without crutches] but it's a long way from walking to running.

"So, to be honest, I don't think we'll see him in Gdansk, no. We're recovering with him and resting with him. He’s not at the stage where he can work hard yet.

"He's walking on it now but still it's a long way from walking to playing football. I'm going to give him until Tuesday night and the last training session.

"We will see if he can be out there — steadily he is improving but we're going to give him time to heal. He is a leader and he's organising from the stands.

"He'll come to Gdansk with us next week, he'll be in the dressing room and he'll make sure everyone is ready for the final."

Manchester United face La Liga side Villarreal in the Europa League final on Wednesday, May 26, as Solskjaer looks to win his first trophy in charge at Old Trafford.

Maguire suffered an ankle ligament injury in the 3-1 win against Aston Villa earlier this month and the Red Devils have struggled defensively without the skipper.
