As per Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, a reliable source, Manchester United's opening bid worth £10 million for Kieran Trippier has been rejected by Atletico Madrid.
Trippier has emerged as one of our top targets this summer but the Red Devils will have to meet his £35 million release clause to sign him.
The 30-year-old won La Liga last season and is currently with England for the Euros. It's been reported that Trippier has been looking at houses in Manchester ahead of a potential return to the Premier League.
Mundo Deportivo understands that the ball is now in United's court - it remains to be seen if the club accept Atletico's demand or try to drive the right-back's price down further.
