OFFICIAL: Henderson ruled out of Euro 2020 due to hip injury

Dean Henderson has been forced to withdraw from the England squad because of a hip injury that was limiting his involvement in training.

The Man United star will play no part in England’s Euro 2020 tournament anymore and will return to Carrington for rehabilitation on his injury.

The FA confirmed this in an official statement and said: “The Manchester United goalkeeper will now return to his club for further assessment and rehabilitation ahead of the 2021/22 season.”

Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has been called up as his replacement in the squad.

Henderson is the second United star to be ruled out of the Euros after Donny van de Beek also had to withdraw from the Netherlands squad due to injury.
