Man United transfers so far: £73m spent, 9 potential ins, 7 potential outs with probability ratings

Manchester United are now working in full force to make for a very successful summer transfer window. Last week, the Red Devils confirmed the much-anticipated transfer of Jadon Sancho for £73m. Tom Heaton was also signed on a free transfer.

However, the business has not ended yet. The Red Devils are now said to be ‘going all out’ for a new centre-back and also a midfielder. They are also likely to issue some outgoings to balance the books.

INS

This link blew open out of nowhere, but United are now seriously looking into sealing Camavinga’s signing.

The French wonderkid himself is said to be open to a move to Old Trafford and United will start negotiating with Rennes soon to finalize his signing. As per Spanish source Marca, the Red Devils are ‘leading candidates’ to sign Camavinga – with Real Madrid and PSG backing off their interest.

Probability rating: 7/10

Recently, top Dutch source Mike Verweij (who broke the story of Donny van de Beek’s move to United) reported that United are trying to hijack Ajax’s deal to sign young sensation Kamaldeen Sulemana. However, no follow-up has arrived from that – indicating that the Red Devils cooled their interest.

Probability rating: 4/10

United have now started negotiations with Real Madrid for Raphael Varane’s signing. However, there remains a difference in valuation among both clubs.

As per reliable Spanish outlet Sport, Varane has already ‘given his word’ to United about joining them in the summer. He’s also struck a ‘pre-agreement’ with the Red Devils and is keen on a move to Old Trafford

Probability rating: 8/10

MEN reported that United were ‘slowly making progress’ in negotiations to sign Pau Torres a few weeks ago. However, the Spaniard is only an alternative to Varane and the Red Devils will only push for his signing if unable to get the Real Madrid man.

Probability rating: 5/10

With Atletico Madrid refusing to budge on their £30m+ valuation on Kieran Trippier, United have made no progress over negotiating his signing and seem to be backing out of that deal.

Probability rating: 3/10

The West Ham midfielder has reportedly rejected two contract renewal offers from the club to encourage United to make further advances over his signing. However, with the Hammers wanting nearly £100m for the midfielder, his signing this summer is unlikely – especially if United sign Camavinga.

Probability rating: 2/10

The Sevilla defender remains on United’s summer transfer wishlist. However, he is also another alternative in case the Varane deal doesn’t go through. Moreover, with Sevilla reportedly demanding more than £70m for him – Kounde’s likely to go elsewhere.

Probability rating: 1/10

Aarons is reportedly an alternative in case United can’t sign Trippier – which now seems likely. However, the Red Devils haven’t shown serious interest in the Norwich City right-back yet as they’re focused on strengthening other areas.

Probability rating: 3/10

Ronaldo’s Old Trafford return is only possible with a potential swap with Paul Pogba – which is very unlikely. His huge wage demands and reported interest in a PSG move mean the reunion probably isn’t happening anytime soon.

Probability rating: 1/10

OUTS

As per reliable club insider Jonathan Shrager, Tuanzebe is likely to leave on loan this summer as he looks for more regular game-time somewhere else. With United likely to sign a new centre-back, this move only makes sense.

Probability rating: 8/10

Dalot’s father recently confirmed that his son will return to United next season. AC Milan are reportedly only interested in signing him on loan and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer unlikely to now get another right-back signing, he might look to integrate Dalot into his squad.

Probability rating: 3/10

Lingard will have talks with United over his future soon – but is said to have told the club that ‘his heart lies in Manchester’. West Ham remains interested in signing him and the Red Devils could be forced to sell him to get some money from sales to fund other signings.

Probability rating: 5/10

With just one year remaining on his contract, United are in discussions with Pogba’s representatives to extend his deal. As per Fabrizio Romano, they’re desperate to keep him next season and even willing to risk letting him leave for free in 2022 at an extreme scenario.

However, top France source Mohammed Bouhafsi has now reported that Pogba is very keen on a move to PSG and his entourage are continuing talks – making his summer saga even more difficult to predict.

Probability rating: 6/10

As per the Sun, Brighton Hove & Albion are interested in permanently signing Dan James this summer. However, Solskjaer won't give up on his signing this early - so a permanent sale is very unlikely.

Probability rating: 2/10

De Gea himself is reportedly intent on reclaiming the no.1 spot at United even after the recent activity in the goalkeeper’s department. The Red Devils could loan him out to another club to balance their finances, but it’s unlikely Solskjaer will agree to that.

Probability rating: 3/10

Pellistri started pre-season training with United on Monday. However, he’s still very likely to join Alaves on loan for next season to get more first-team experience in Europe.

Probability rating: 7/10
