‘Wasn’t even going for the ball’: United fans lash out at Chelsea U23 defender for awful challenge on Dillon Hoogewerf

Things got really heated during Man United U23’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea U23 in the Premier League reserves league on Friday.

In the second half, Shola Shoretire played a brilliant forward ball to release youngster Dillon Hoogewerf through on goal.

Seeing that, Chelsea U23 defender Josh Brooking lunged into a reckless challenge to bring the United winger down.

Brooking was sent off for his awful challenge and has been criticized by United fans on Reddit.
