Ole before Young Boys loss: 'We'll make sure that Istanbul Basaksehir embarrassment doesn't happen'

A few days before Man United’s Champions League opening loss to Young Boys, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told the Beyond The Pitch podcast: “That [İstanbul] Başakşehir game, we're going to make sure that doesn't happen this season.”

Of course, Solskjaer references the damning loss which the Red Devils suffered at the hands of Istanbul Basaksehir last season, which played a big part in them not making it out of the group stages.

Ole’s words definitely didn’t work out as his side suffered an embarrassing opening day loss to the Switzerland side.

Solskjaer will hope his side can bounce back from this strongly by winning their remaining 5 games and finishing at the top of their group.
