Speaking after his side’s win over Club Brugge about the Manchester Derby on Saturday, Pep Guardiola said: “The people were taking the p*** for me saying today was more important than United - and it was.
“But now the most important game ever is Man United. I didn’t see United match, I’m going to analyse and to see what they are so I know how good they are.
“We saw it last season. They have one of the best players of history, a guy who can be a scoring machine.”
Man United actually came out on top of the last Manchester Derby in the Premier League, picking up an impressive 2-0 win over their arch-rivals last season.
The Red Devils could be tied on points with Man City if they win on Saturday and move closer to the top-4 as well.
