The 2021 Ballon d'Or ceremony is officially over with Lionel Messi beating Robert Lewandowski to the award.

The Argentine claimed the honour for the record-breaking seventh time, moving clear of Cristiano Ronaldo who still has five.

The Portuguese forward, who came in sixth on Monday, still managed to finish ahead of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah in seventh place.

The only other Manchester United player on the 30-man list, Bruno Fernandes, came in in joint 21st place alongside Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez.
