RANKED: Latest Man United transfer rumours from 1/10 to 10/10

In our latest transfer round-up, we listed 11 players that could join or leave Man United over the next two transfer windows.

Now it’s time to take a closer look into these rumours and see which of these make the most sense.

*The probabilities go from 1/10 to 10/10 depending on different rumours

1/10: Antonio Rudiger to sign as a free agent: With Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger likely to become a free agent next summer, he’s being linked with a lot of clubs – including United. While a free deal can be enticing, United have 5 centre-backs in their first-team squad – which is why the rumour feels fake.

2/10: Frenkie de Jong, Erling Haaland to join United: The two young sensations have been linked with a move to Old Trafford. But Fabrizio Romano has clarified that the Red Devils aren’t interested in signing De Jong in January.  Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola has bluntly stated he isn’t willing to bring Erling to Old Trafford. Considering both players are worth over £80m-£100m with huge wage demands, these deals won't happen.

3/10: Jesse Lingard to leave in January: Lingard has reportedly no willingness to sign a new United contract and his deal expires in June. But, The Athletic have confirmed that the Englishman won’t leave in January. With Jesse having the chance to get a bumper deal upon signing as a free agent in the summer, it’s unlikely he leaves in January.

3/10: Boubacar Kamara to join United: Ralf Rangnick wants to prioritize signing a midfielder in January, but is unlikely to seek an inexperienced player from France as an immediate solution to his problem. The fact that Kamara’s rumours are being spread by trashy sources don’t help this cause.

5/10: Barcelona to sign Edinson Cavani in January: Barcelona are desperately looking for a striker and have even spoken to Edinson Cavani over a move. The Uruguayan is more than willing to join them after losing his regular spot at United. But with Barca now supposedly having second thoughts, it’s unsure whether this deal happens.

7/10: Dean Henderson to leave on loan: Dean Henderson wants more playing time after losing his spot to David de Gea. There’s no chance he’s replacing De Gea after the Spaniard’s heroics this season. A loan move in January makes sense, especially with United not wanting to sell their academy graduate this early.

7/10: Amadou Haidara to become Rangnick’s first signing: Rangnick has worked with Haidara before and was the one to bring him to RB Leipzig in 2019. Haidara has said that United are his dream club in the past and loves working with Ralf. His release clause is around £33m – ideal money for a January signing. So far, many factors point towards this to happen.

8/10: Paul Pogba to leave Old Trafford: Rangnick has insisted that he sees no sense in convincing a wantaway player to say. He reportedly doesn’t believe Pogba deserves a contract either. Mino Raiola has been itching to take his client away from Old Trafford. It looks only a matter of when – than if – of the Frenchman departing.

8/10: Anthony Martial to depart: Martial has seen his playing time crumble since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival. His agent quite clearly admitted that the Frenchman wants to leave in January.. As long as United get their valuation matched, they’re likely to fulfil Martial’s wishes.

9/10: Andreas Pereira to join Flamengo: Pereira has also publicly stated his desire to stay at Flamengo after his loan spell ends at the end of the season. With so many midfielders (and more possibly to arrive), there’s no place for the Brazilian in the squad – so it’s likely that he leaves.
