Multiple top sources like the BBC, Sky Sports, The Athletic, The Independent and, of course, Fabrizio Romano, have all confirmed that Erik ten Hag is just a cat's whisker away from becoming the new Manchester United manager.

Tribuna.com is here with a round-up of all the latest news you need to know.

Is there an agreement in place: There is an agreement 'in principle' between both parties. United only have to complete formalities, the paperwork and reach an agreement with Ajax, which won't be a problem, claims Sky Sports.

When the deal could be announced: As per the BBC and Sky Sports, United are being respectful to Ten Hag and Ajax as they prepare to face PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Cup final this Sunday. Once that's done, the announcement is expected to be made next week.

Who will be Ten Hag's No.2: The Athletic claims that Ten Hag wants to bring Mitchell van der Gaag, his current assistant, from Ajax. He joined the 51-year-old on a first-team level last summer, having worked with the reserves previously.

When will contract be signed: Only formalities are remaining, with Fabrizio Romano claiming the contract and paperwork will be prepared this week. He adds it's 'only a matter of time' before the dotted line is signed.

Terms of his contract: Ten Hag will sign a three-year deal, with the club holding the option to extend for another year.

How much compensation to pay Ajax: United need to pay the Eredivisie giants a compensation fee worth £1.7 million to sign Ten Hag.

When will he take charge: Ten Hag will take charge at the end of this season and will oversee pre-season as well as transfers during the summer window.
