Erik ten Hag’s Ajax side scored a total of 141 goals in the 2021/22 season – averaging nearly 3 goals a game.
That included 98 goals in 34 Eredivisie games as well as 22 goals scored in 8 Champions League matches last season.
But what is most interesting is that there was a really nice distribution of goals among the squad.
However, the positions to have contributed to most goals were the attacking areas.
Their centre-forward, Sebastien Haller, ended the campaign as their top-scorer after having scored 34 goals in all competitions.
Ajax’s left-winger Dusan Tadic scored 16 goals in all competitions.
Their right-wingers Antony and Steven Berghuis scored 12 goals respectively to ensure the goal-scoring distribution was just right.
Attacking midfielder Davy Klassen scored 11 goals – which meant that 5 Ajax players crossed the double-digit mark in goals scored.
In comparison, only two Man United players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes, have scored more than 10 goals this season.
