According to Samuel Luckhurst of the MEN, Manchester United are open to the prospect of making Tom Heaton the second-choice goalkeeper next season if Dean Henderson leaves this summer.
Henderson, 25, is eager to be the No.1 for a club but that position is held by David De Gea for the foreseeable future.
As a result, Deano has been strongly linked with an exit, especially after appearing just twice for United last season. He also did not play a single Premier League game.
Luckhurst understands that United are keeping tabs on Newcastle United goalie Karl Darlow and Watford's Daniel Bachmann as back-up options.
However, if no new goalkeeper comes in after Deano's potential departure, Heaton could be our No.2.
It's also worth noting that Lee Grant will leave this summer once his contract runs down.
