Erik ten Hag told to 'make most of players' already at Man United

According to ESPN, Manchester United have instructed Erik ten Hag to not rely too much on signing several new players.

While there are positions United want to strengthen - like central midfield and the attack - the club reportedly want the Dutchman to 'make the most of the players' already available.

Six first-teamers - Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Lee Grant, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic - have already left the club following the expiry of their contracts.

While Ten Hag has expressed eagerness to work with the current squad, United are also involved in negotiations for Frenkie de Jong and Ajax winger Antony.
