Ajax are not expected to accept Man United’s latest offer to sign Lisandro Martinez, claims the reliable De Telegraaf.

The Red Devils have tabled a €41m (£35.3m) plus €4m (£3.4m) offer for the Argentine defender, the report adds.

But the Ajax management are unlikely to be satisfied with the offer, as they want around €50m (£43m) to let him go.

That means United might have to push up their bid a little bit higher to get an agreement done.

Martinez feels that he is ready to play in the Premier League and is keen on reuniting with his former manager, Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
