Ronaldo not expected at United training on Monday for 'family reasons'

 to arrive at Carrington today. He'll miss the session because of 'family reasons'. It has been accepted by the club.

Other players who featured in international games in June are due to report back today.

It was previously reported that the Red Devils told the striker he must join the club on the Thailand tour, starting Friday.

If he indeed does not show up, it would add fuel to the rumours linking him with a summer exit from Old Trafford. Perhaps he is really ready to go all the way to leave the club.

Carragher's comments are exactly what we've come to expect of him with regards to United. Ronaldo's decision to move back to United came at a time when the club had finished 2nd in the Premier League, ahead of Carra's beloved Liverpool.

Of course, no one could have expected the dreary capitulation that took place during the course of the season, the end of which saw Ten Hag take over.

Since the start of this summer's transfer window, rival clubs have made statement signings such as Haaland (and Kalvin Phillips most likely) at City. Liverpool went out and splashed the cash on Darwin Nunez. Arsenal have secured the services of Gabriel Jesus and even Spurs have brought in Bissouma and Richarlison.

All of this while United have yet to announce a single signing. This probably answers the 'Why now?' of Carragher's question as he's waited almost the entire summer for United to show some urgency, to no avail. Carragher has very conveniently left out the context of the current situation at United in his comments and his bias is clear enough to see.

Ronaldo missed training because of family reasons and nobody has a problem with that even Neville and scholes are silent.but I remember when pogba was injured the fans and pundits most especially Neville and scholes said he’s a virus that he’s running from playing football..so now tell me a player missed training because of injury even had surgery and a player that skips training because of family reasons when he has been on beacation for over 2weeks now who’s the virus?

All these arguments on Ronaldo did not make sense at all. The Club has respected him enough. If he decided to go so be it. No player is indispensable, others like him has come and gone
