Speaking to 888sport, former Old Trafford winger Lee Sharpe said: "Last season, Jadon Sancho came into a team where the energy and confidence levels were flat.
"He got a couple of niggly injuries early on as well, carried over from pre-season. But this time, the manager's style of football will suit him, and he'll see a lot more of the ball in the final third, rather than getting it out of his own third.
"If he can avoid injuries during pre-season and if he can start on the front foot then he's going to be an unbelievable player this season."
Sancho has been a key player for Manchester United in pre-season, featuring in all four games so far this summer and scoring three goals.
The 22-year-old has taken his time adapting to life in the Premier League but the forward will be hoping to play a big part under Erik ten Hag next season.
