Man United are now ready to begin their new Premier League campaign under Erik ten Hag against Brighton on Sunday.
The Red Devils played six games in a gruelling pre-season campaign, including 4 in their tour of Asia.
Ten Hag gave almost all his first-team players and some youngsters plenty of game-time to prove themselves to him.
However, there were a few first-team regulars who got more playing time than others, raising their match sharpness. It also means they’re better suited for high-intensity games than the others.
David de Gea, unsurprisingly, played more minutes than any other player in pre-season. There are some somewhat surprising names in the list of players with the most minutes played.
So let’s try to make a starting XI for the Brighton game only involving the players who received the most game-time in pre-season and are probably the fittest players available.
Man United Probable XI vs Brighton: De Gea (338’), Diogo Dalot (313’), Lindelof (313’), Maguire (267’), Malacia (280’), Fred (313’), Van de Beek (313’), Fernandes (313’), Rashford (313’), Sancho (227’), Martial (292’)
