Mourinho opens up on retirement & 3 more under-radar stories at Man United today

Dubravka withdraws from international duty

A statement from Manchester United reads:""On-loan goalkeeper Martin Dubravka will return from international duty earlier than expected, after picking up an injury in training with Slovakia.

"The 33-year-old was due to be involved in two UEFA Nations League games, against Azerbaijan and Belarus. As a precautionary measure, Dubravka has withdrawn from the squad and will have his problem assessed at Carrington."

Mourinho's thoughts on retirement

Jose Mourinho is not thinking about leaving football just yet wit the Portuguese currently enjoying a good managerial spell with Serie A side AS Roma.

The former Man United boss said: "I want to continue. I feel good, I feel strong, motivated, I like winning, I hate losing, nothing has changed. I want to go on. Not for another 22 years, as there is no time, but for a few more years."

Pochettino told to join Leicester

Mauricio Pochettino, who was linked with a move to Man United before the Red Devils appointed Erik ten Hag, has been tipped to replace under-fire Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City.

Former Premier League midfielder Darren Ambrose told talkSPORT: "I don't think Leicester is too small for Pochettino. Man United needed a manager, they went for Ten Hag. Why not go for someone like that if you're Leicester?"

Ronaldo 'happy' to train for Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently away on international duty with Portugal and the forward has expressed his happiness at working hard for his national side.

Sharing a photo of himself in training this week, the 37-year-old captioned the post on social media: "Happy to be back home!"
