France beat Ralf Rangnick's Austria 2–1 in an UEFA Nations League clash on Thursday with Raphael Varane playing for 90 minutes and captaining his side.

Update on Old Trafford redevelopment plans

During an investor call earlier this week, Richard Arnold has warned that Man United will be 'disciplined' in their plans to improve facilities at Old Trafford despite the sad state of the Manchester stadium.

The chief executive said: "While remaining committed to long-term investment in the stadium, we will be disciplined in our capital plans, which must be sustainable, and mindful of the macroeconomic pressures and inflationary environment currently impacting the UK and wider global economies."

Sao Paulo demands £15m fee for Antony

According to journalist Jorge Nicola via Sport Witness, Brazilian club Sao Paulo are demanding United pay them a £15 million fee they are owed following Antony's sensational summer move.

They reportedly want the payment within the next two weeks, having agreed on a sell-on clause with Ajax that entitles them to any future transfer fees.

Ruben Neves praises Ronaldo

Reacting to Cristiano Ronaldo's decision to play in the Euro 2024, Wolves star Ruben Neves said of his Portugal international teammate: "Nobody is surprised. Working with him, we know what he is.

"We didn’t expect him to say it at the moment but somehow we already knew it, for the way he works, for how he is involved. He is always extraordinary when he is called up for the national team, he is a professional in all respects and he will be ready."
