Ahead of Sunday's Nations League game between Denmark and France, Raphael Varane was asked to deliver his verdict on Christian Eriksen, his new teammate at Man United.
"He managed to integrate quickly into the squad, he has a lot of qualities,” Varane replied, as quoted by Danish news outlet Bold.
“We are very happy to see him at this level after what he has been through.
"It will be great to play against Christian. We get on very well together," Varane added.
Eriksen had a brutal introduction at Man United as he was a par tof the team that lost to Brighton and his former side Brentford at the start of the campaign.
Now, however, the Danish playmaker has won the club's Player of the Month award for September as United turned the situation over and won four games on the bounce in the Premier League.
Considering that just over a year ago his life, let alone his career, was in danger, this is absolutely astonishing.
