Speaking to Football Insider, Gabriel Agbonlahor said: "I don't think Jadon Sancho deserves to be in the England squad yet.
"Yes, his form has improved but he's still got a lot to do, for me. I probably would have picked him before Jarrod Bowen.
"But Sancho has to start taking players on more like he has done. That's how he will get back into the squad I think.
"If Manchester United carry on playing the way they are then Sancho will 100 per cent be back in that squad."
The 22-year-old forward was not included in England's latest 28-man squad for the UEFA Nations League games against Italy and Germany.
With no more international games until the World Cup, Sancho will be hoping to impress Gareth Southgate at the club level ahead of the Qatar tournament.
