McTominay matches Solskjaer's incredible European record with Omonia Nicosia last-minute winner

Scott McTominay scored a thrilling added-time winner in Man United’s 1-0 win over Omonia Nicosia on Thursday.

In doing so, the Scottish midfielder became the first United substitute in over two decades to have scored a 90th minute winning goal in an European game.

The last person to have done it? You guessed it right – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer!

Indeed, the Norwegian forward’s amazing winner in the 1999 Champions League final was the last time a United substitute scored an added-time winner in a European game.

McTominay scored his first goal of the campaign against Omonia to help United take one step forward to securing qualification to the Europa League knockout rounds.
