“He wants to entertain a little bit in his game. It’s a part of the way he plays,” explained Diogo Dalot while discussing Antony's spin on the ball during the 3-0 win over Sheriff Tiraspol.
“We’re happy to have Antony with us, he’s a fantastic player and I’m sure that his technique and his dribbling will help.”
The Manchester United defender, who opened the scoring vs Sheriff, added: “There is always going to be talk after a mistake, he missed the pass but if the pass went through, Casemiro was in a good position to receive the ball and probably assist or score a goal.
“So I think it’s normal after he missed the pass but I don’t think we should focus too much on what he did, it’s just part of his game. We’re happy to have a player like him.”
Antony has made a decent start to life in Manchester with three goals to his name in the Premier League so far.
It'll take him some more time to well and truly establish himself but once that happens, the noise won't matter anymore.
