Didier Deschamps reveals simple reason why Anthony Martial isn't part of France squad

, Didier Deschamps told Telefoot: "Because I decided, simply… this is a quality group, united on and off the pitch. 

The France boss appears to suggest that the 

 forward's quality is not on par with the rest of the team. 

The French striker impressed in pre-season but has struggled to start regularly for the Red Devils due to a lingering injury. 

Martial has recovered now and is training with the United group that didn't make it for the World Cup.

It was gathered that Gore clattered Martial with a robust tackle which sparked an angry confrontation between the pair. Martial is alleged to have lashed out and caught the teenager.

They were said to have been pulled apart, with Gore told by

 and his staff that tackling first-team stars was off-limits in training games. 

Martial is believed to have apologised to the youngster - and Gore was happy to make the peace.

Martial is one of several senior players not involved in 

. A number of youth-team stars were drafted in by Ten Hag to boost the numbers. 

Gore was signed from Burnley last summer. Described as a tenacious tackler by United's website, he is rated highly by Ten Hag and United's academy staff. The United boss has encouraged a competitive atmosphere in training.

The Red Devils face Burnley in the EFL Cup on December 21 before a Premier League tie with Nottingham six days later.

This should serve as motivation for Tony! There is doubt about his attitude and quality from both United and his country! We all know what he's capable of, he needs to prove to the 'water carrier' what he can do and work hard during this period of game inactivity!

That's fine we'd have a fit Martial at MUFC after World Cup then! It's a win for Manchester United

Martial just have to wait for his chance. I  don't blame the manager for leaving him out of the national team. He's not physically and fully fit yet and better to leaves him out so that he can fully recover and before starting to play his normal game. I  see nothing malicious in the manager decision to be honest.
