David Beckham is open to the prospect of talking to potential bidders who are trying to take over Man United, claims the Financial Times.

Those who are interested in buying the club could turn to the ex-United winger to boost their chances of winning the race.

Beckham can’t afford to fund the take over on his own, but would be willing to join a consortium and provide some financial help to get a stake in the club.

Various prospective buyers over the years have approached the Englishman over taking over the club, but those never materialized into anything significant.

However, Beckham can now help any potential bidders with his knowledge of the club, the fanbase as well as his expertise in owning a club.

United are attracting interest from everywhere over a potential sale, with UK’s richest man Jim Ratcliffe, also interested in taking over.
