Shearer weighs in on Ronaldo's exit

Alan Shearer believes there was never any possibility of Cristiano Ronaldo and Erik ten Hag were never going to work things out at Manchester United.

He told the BBC: "It's a sad end to his Man United career. It was never going to be a match, Ten Hag and him. It will be really interesting to see if a Champions League club comes in for him."

Man United's club value rises

Man United's club value has risen by £260 million since the Glazers officially announced their openness to selling the club earlier this week.

Saxo financial expert Anaam Raza said: "The announcement yesterday has clearly filled investors with confidence with the Glazer family's turbulent tenure owning the club seemingly coming closer to the end."

Zara founder Ortega interested in buying Man United

As per MEN, Amancio Ortega - the founder and owner of fashion chain Zara - has registered an interesting in purchasing Man United.

He has a net worth of $61bn and has informed senior executives of his intentions to make a bid to take over the club from the Glazers.

Ronaldo tipped to keep playing at the top level after United departure

Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva has tipped Cristiano Ronaldo to keep playing at the highest level after leaving Man United.

He said: "What he does now is his decision and the decision of whoever it is who offers him a contract. I think he can still play at the very top. It depends on what Ronaldo wants. I don’t know what he wants for his life. He has to speak with his family and decide for himself, right?"
