Gareth Southgate's decision to drop Marcus Rashford backed by Arsenal legend Ian Wright

Speaking on ITV before the game on Sunday, Ian Wright said: "Marcus Rashford will be disappointed not to start after the form he's been in.

"But Bukayo Saka has been a good player for Gareth Southgate. I think we've got one of the best benches in the competition.

"It won't be a bad thing for Rashford. We need to pull their full backs back. The full backs have been really good in this tournament for Senegal."

Rashford, who scored twice against Wales in the final game of the group stages, was left on the bench for the Round of 16 clash against Senegal on Sunday.

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka started in the 3–0 win on the right side of the attack with the Manchester United forward coming on as a second-half substitute.
