PSG's Nasser Al-Khelaifi: 'To sign Rashford for free, every club would run after him'

"He's another player that is really amazing," Paris Saint-Germain chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports when asked about the possibility of signing Marcus Rashford for free next summer.

"And for free? To have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely.

"We're not hiding it, we spoke before and… interest. But the moment was not a good moment for both sides. Maybe, summer, why not?

"Today if he's a free agent of course we can talk to him directly but we are not going to talk to him now.

"Let him focus on the World Cup. Then after in January, hopefully, if we're interested we will talk to him."

Of course, Manchester United are looking to hold onto the 25-year-old, who has turned a new leaf since last season.

Rashford has scored eight goals across competitions for the Red Devils this season in addition to three more for England at the World Cup.

His contract expires in the summer of 2023 but United are expected to trigger the one-year extension while discussing a long-term deal.
