Vincent Kompany: Swansea City are harder to press than Man United

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has taken a dig at Man United by claiming that his side found it harder to press the Swansea City players than they did against the Reds Devils in the Carabao Cup clash last month.

Speaking after his side’s 2-1 win over Swansea in the Championship on Monday, the ex-Man City captain said: “I knew this was going to be a difficult game. There was more aggression in their game and you could see they were a team putting up a real fight.

“They were together. They have always been a great side for me and I love watching them. There isn’t a single team in the league, not even us, who can manipulate the ball like they do. We went to Old Trafford and pressed and we found it more difficult in the first half here.”

Kompany’s side was absolutely dominated by United in the Carabao Cup 4th round clash, so this just seems a case of sour apples for the ex-City defender.

Erik ten Hag’s side are undefeated in their last five competitive games, so they’re highly unlikely to pay much attention to the Belgian’s comments.
