Tottenham fail to leapfrog Man United by dropping points vs 20th-placed Southampton

Man United are still third in the Premier League table after Tottenham failed to take this place, at least temporarily.

Antonio Conte's side led Southampton 3-1 after 75 minutes but managed to lose that advantage, with James Ward-Prowse scoring the equaliser in injury time from the penalty spot.

As a result, Spurs are one point behind Man United despite having played two extra games.

Erik ten Hag's side is sitting out the Premier League action this weekend as they face Fulham in the FA Cup quarterfinal.

Here's what the top four race looks like after today's games.

Spurs is not a real threat. It’s Newcastle we have to worry about.

You are correct: Newcastle > Spurs. But I wouldn’t worry about either.
