Man United owe almost £1bn in different payments, figures explained

As per the BBC, Man United are currently in a position where they owe £969.6m to different parties.

The Red Devils’ principal debt is now up to over £535m. Moreover, the Red Devils have also taken £206m from a credit facility.

They have £227m owed to other clubs in outstanding transfer fees for the players signed in recent years.

The overall sum is just under £1bn and the figures are evidence of a ‘stretched financial situation’ for the club.

These figures might be a reason why the Glazers are aiming to sell the club, but won’t do so for under £6bn.

Qatari Sheikh Jassim has already vowed to cut down any debt for the club if he manages to take over United.
