'They are happy': Sunderland boss reveals Man United's plan for Amad Diallo after end of loan spell

Speaking about Man United’s plan for Amad Diallo after his loan spell at Sunderland ends, Tony Mowbray said: “It would be great if we could say, ‘Let’s keep that story going’.

“The kid, he would do it again. He is playing every week, he scores, the fans love him. I think Manchester United are happy, but I think the next step is for them to take Amad on pre-season to America. That’s what I think is going to happen. Then they’ll see how he gets on.”

Amad has been highly impressive on loan at Sunderland this season, having scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 36 appearances in the Championship.

Diallo is going to be taken to the US pre-season tour in the summer and could be a great alternative for Antony next season, also saving the Red Devils from having to spend more money on a new winger.
