'The unthinkable could happen': Gary Neville sends top-4 warning to Man United

Speaking on Sky Sports, Gary Neville said: "Newcastle is a little bit of a wobble by losing to Arsenal and drawing at Leeds so I'd say probably Newcastle [are more likely to miss out on the top-four finish].

"That's not me being overconfident about Manchester United's chances, but I think I'd be more comfortable if I was Man United than Newcastle looking at it with the games. Chelsea away last game of the season...

"I mean the unthinkable could happen, Man United missing out on the top four). I've always expected Liverpool to go on this run and finish in top four. I actually thought Newcastle would drop off before this but they've been sensational.

"I thought Man United would get there. They have comfortable games. They've got a team near the bottom of the league and two games at home so Man United will be shooting themselves in the foot if they don't get in the top four."

Liverpool secured a 3–0 win away at Leicester City on Monday night to keep up the pressure on Man United and Newcastle in the Premier League top-four race.

The Red Devils, who are one point above Jurgen Klopp's side with a game in hand, have Bournemouth, Chelsea and Fulham left to play in the top flight.
