Man United player tells friends he 'wants to quit club' 'for good of his career'

Football Insider claims that Scott McTominay has told friends he wants to move on this summer "for the good of his career".

The 26-year-old, who made his senior debut for United in 2017, has dropped down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag – starting just four Premier League matches since September.

McTominay is said to "want regular playing time" while at the "peak of his career", and he 'fears the club are planning to sign another central midfielder this summer'.

West Ham and Newcastle are both interested in the Scotsman, who has scored 19 goals in 207 games for Man United.

It is claimed United will seek £25m for the midfielder, who is currently under contract until the summer of 2025 - with the option of a further 12 months.
