'He wasn't too happy': Eriksen reveals one occasion he irked Ronaldo at Man United last year

Speaking to former midfielder Owen Hargreaves in an interview dissecting free-kick takers at Man United this season, Christian Eriksen said: “Even now at the club, we have multiple takers who if he's had a good day, he's going to have it. [Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes] and Rashy [Marcus Rashford].

“They're probably the three and Ronaldo when he was here, obviously. I did take one [instead of Ronaldo], I think, but he wasn't too happy with that! But then with the three we have now, it's where we are on the pitch, how people are feeling, so it's like 'you had the last one, I'll have the next one'.”

Eriksen only got to play with Ronaldo for a few months at Old Trafford before the Portuguese forward’s bitter exit from the club just before the Qatar World Cup in November.

The Danish midfielder has proven himself as a quality set-piece taker this season and proved how good he is against Chelsea, producing a fantastic assist for Casemiro’s opening goal.
